Marble haven

Rain for the week, meh, bring it. I’m shielded by the coolest leather of the season, by All Saints, of course. My favorite leather go-to brand has a sleeker approach this season and I’m loving every inch of it. However, my floordrobe situation is not... time to switch out the stud-heavy bikers, as my leather jacket collection takes up an embarrassing large chunk of my closet. Diving into my favorite combo, dressy tailoring and leather, ah my sartorial mind in in full zen. Festive? Yes, but you’re never too overdressed when your backdrop looks like an angel castle.

Summer vibes

TOPSHOP playpsuit
CELINE sunglasses
MONICA VINADER stacking rings
ZARA boots

It was more leaf prints for another day of Flow, already a few weeks back. Still hanging on to the last summer vibes and freezing in bare legs, not ready to let go just yet. But now: Hello coat season... you’ll be alright.

Bunny hops

Happy to be balancing the cobblestones of Helsinki again, a summer without my beloved home town would never be the same. My brief New York trip gave me a chance to update my classics, culottes and silk tops in this case, with some sharp new season cuts. However it’s the shoes that I wanted to boost, again. Finnish favorite Minna Parikka’s new direction has had me intrigued more than ever before, the bunny ears has undergone a little makeover that has captured even the attention of us minimal girls. I predict the bunny sneakers as the new must have thing, Net-a-porter agrees.

Going with the Flow

REISS dress
CELINE sunglasses
ZARA boots

CLUB MONACO by Campbell double bangle
MONICA VINADER thin bracelet
SAINT LAURENT small bangle

Of all the festivals I’ve seen around the world, may it be Lovebox or Coachella, I still love my home town’s, Flow Festival in Helsinki the most. Hipster heaven maybe (see the thousands of bikes) but filled with friends and an unbeatable atmosphere, not to mention the best food for any dietary demands and a very vital solid concrete ground, feel free to wear your brand new designer shoes.

After recovering from Friday with a day of sleeping (going to these festivals is a full time job) I took on Sunday, aka. The best and final day in this beautiful Reiss dress, plant print being my new favorite thing. A maxi dress might just be the smartest thing to wear to a festival, so this showy, flowy number got to live up to its full potential for our concrete jungle festival, where we danced the night away to the beats of Outcast, Bonabo and Janelle MonĂ¡e to name a few. The long hem and beautiful cut of the dress took the stress away of what to wear, no need to over-think the styling when one garment serves all your sartorial needs. This floral printed number that had me at hello, also comes in a shorter version for the days that your new shoes can’t be hidden away (believe me, I know all about that)

So it’s been a while since I opted for a colorful, printed get-up. Surprisingly I decided to put the all black, wardrobe favorites on hold for a few days. Flow Festival is a weekend for colorful fashion and denim embracement but also as many would put it; a bittersweet end of our beautiful Finnish summer for the year 2014.

My Never Denim campaign

It's been a busy week, but I'm excited to finally reveal that I will be fronting the campaign #MEANDMYNEVERDENIM for Bik Bok this fall! Together with the best of Scandi bloggers; Angelika, Ane, Elsa and Victoria, I'm honored to be in such good company for a collection that truly has been my favorite denim for years. The campaign is now live in all Bik Bok stores!

5 inch and up x River Island

Fours years ago, a few months into Uni, I managed to secure myself an internship interview to what I considered the most exciting design department on the high-street  - Footwear at River Island. Nervously walking into the interview, I was undecided if mentioning that I just started a fashion blog was going to work in my advantage or vice versa. Little did I know that we were about to walk through the design department where I found pictures of myself on their current mood-boards. Without a doubt one of the most surreal moment of my life so far.

Four years on I could not be more ecstatic to finally announce that I’m teaming up with the first brand that supported me, River Island to design a range of, you guessed it, high heel shoes! 5 inch and up for River Island will launch in November, in UK stores and online Worldwide, with five exclusive styles. So, before the official lookbook goes live, a little preview of what to expect.

I’m a bit overwhelmed with all the incredible support so far, but I could not be happier! What can I say... Anything is possible, right?

New skins

BIK BOK knit

There is a lot to talk about, but let’s keep it to the fashion. I’m wearing a leather version of the very important accessory, the choker.  Not only will this Danille Foster piece be my favorite finishing touch come fall, but it might just a great option to us who opt for high collar tops a bit too often.... Found myself at a bar, in a turtleneck too many times.

The bag is something I took home from Thailand a few months ago. S’uvimol Bangkok is the name, another brand you should know about. Especially if the traditional shoulder bag is wearing you down, nothing like a lady-like, mini top-handle to lift your spirits.

Lovebox 2014

CHARLIE MAY jacket & shorts
ZARA top

SWAROVSKI jewellery
‘Treasure Moon’ necklace
‘Astrid’ pendant
‘mix’ ring
‘Purity’ bracelet
‘Tennis’ bracelet
‘Ready’ bangle
ZARA boots

Lovebox had us melting on what felt like the hottest day of the year, but I persistently wore my Charlie May jacket... Because it was part of the set and shorts suits never looks as good when they are separated. But, as promised, a more mixed up version of the preview post below, where the minimal Swarovski silver pieces overtook my current gold rush. Layered with the flower pendant and some more diamond-like stones had me giving the traditional festival bijou a run for their money. However in my head, a mix of metals dresses down even the most glamourous stones and with the soft cotton combo, I think this passes as a festival get-up.

Thank you Swarovski for a perfect day!
